Interests

• Design and development of molecular and supramolecular architectures for solar energy conversion
• Solution phase X-ray scattering, ground state and in response to external stimuli (i.e. redox state, light)
• Time-resolved X-ray scattering
• High energy X-ray scattering
• Micro-crystal diffraction and time-resolved crystallography

Goals

• My research is primarily focused on the design and synthesis of new molecular and supramolecular structures for artificial photosynthesis. Our targeted design approach requires detailed knowledge of structure under real conditions to fully understand the mechanisms relevant to solar energy conversion. Towards this objective, I have been an active user at several sectors since 2004 to employ the outstanding capabilities at APS for high-resolution structural characterization. I would like to represent the interests of users who are making new materials and want to gain a fundamental understanding of the underlying structure-function landscape to enable the design of next-generation architectures.
